Privacy Notice

Effective October 18, 2026

1. Who is responsible

Essence of Bliss LLC operates Scanner’s Honor and is the data controller for personal information used to provide the service. Contact us by mail for privacy questions or requests:

2. Information and purposes

Account information includes your email, sign-in credentials or authentication identifiers and any profile details you provide. We use it to establish your account, authenticate access and communicate about requested service actions.

Purchase and evidence information includes uploaded receipts, receipt images, store locations, purchase dates, items, prices, price evidence, tracked purchases, refund letters and case outcomes. We process it to transcribe receipts, compare prices, preserve your evidence, prepare requested letters and display spending and savings.

Support correspondence is used to respond to questions and handle disputes. Technical information such as IP addresses, device or browser details, usage events and error logs may be processed for security, troubleshooting and service improvement. Subscription identifiers and status are used to administer paid access. Paddle handles checkout payment information under its own privacy notice.

3. Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, account administration and requested processing are based on performance of our contract with you; security, troubleshooting and service improvement rely on legitimate interests; required records rely on legal obligations; optional processing requiring consent uses your consent, which you may withdraw.

4. Recipients of information

Service providers for hosting, authentication, storage, AI receipt transcription, email delivery and technical support process information needed for their tasks. Receipt transcription requires processing the receipt you submit; avoid uploading unrelated sensitive information.

Paddle, our Merchant of Record, receives information needed for product sales, subscriptions, payment processing, tax compliance and invoicing. See Paddle’s Privacy Notice. Professional legal and accounting advisers may receive records when needed, and authorities may receive information where required by law.

Community pricing information is displayed as aggregated summaries rather than your raw reports. When you request a refund email, it is addressed to your authenticated account email for you to forward; we do not send it directly to the retailer. The receipt link requires account access, so use your own receipt copy when sharing evidence with a retailer.

5. Retention and security

We retain account and purchase information while needed to provide your account and requested records, resolve disputes or meet legal obligations. When it is no longer needed, our policy is to delete or anonymise it, subject to required records and backup lifecycles. You can request deletion at the address above.

We are committed to appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information, including access controls and encryption where appropriate. No service can guarantee absolute security.

6. Your choices and rights

Depending on the law that applies, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. Send requests to our business address and identify the account concerned. We may need to verify your identity. You may complain to the appropriate privacy regulator. If GDPR applies to your request, we aim to respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions.

7. Cookies and international processing

Essential cookies and browser storage support sign-in, session security and account operation. Browser settings let you manage or remove them; removing essential storage may sign you out. Nonessential analytics or marketing cookies, if introduced, will require appropriate notice and preference controls.

We are based in the United States; service providers may process information in other countries. Where UK or EEA transfer rules apply, our policy is to use required safeguards, such as applicable adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

8. Updates

We may update this notice as the service changes. Material changes will be communicated where required. The effective date above identifies this version.
